Tried to cut thick tree branches & knife didn't do the job.

Hello Antoinette. I am sorry you are disappointed with the knife. The knife is best for cutting and slicing. For very thick branches, you will need something for chopping, such as an axe or large bowie knife. Feel free to reach out if you have questions.
