About us

Hello, and thanks for visiting! Prosurvivals was founded in 2020 as a resource for those interested in camping, survival and bushcraft to purchase high quality knives, axes and other camping related gear. The company was purchased in October of 2023 by Brian Long and his daughter, McKenzie who changed the name to Prosurvivalsupply.com

Brian and McKenzie are avid campers and backpackers and even thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. Kenzie summited Mt Katahdin in Baxter State Forest (Maine) in October of 2021. Brian went home after 1500 miles with a torn meniscus! But they both enjoyed their time in creation and with our Trail Family immensely. So much so that, through this experience, they became advocates of the outdoor lifestyle and made it their goal to come alongside the outdoor community by offering quality gear that enthusiasts could be proud of. Their focus is on providing gear made by cottage companies and small artisans versus the gear sold by major brands and retailers.

Their vision for Prosurvivalsupply.com is to continue offering the same high-quality gear the company was founded on, but then build out the offering to appeal to bush crafters as well as backpackers, thru hikers, and back yard campers.

We hope you enjoy browsing our web site and we look forward to coming alongside you on your next adventure by providing you with quality gear you can trust!

A Little About Brian…

I hail from Gettysburg, PA and I absolutely love the outdoors. I remember a close friend from our church taking me and my best friend backpacking in the Berkshire Mountains of MA in 1983 and I was immediately hooked. In addition to my Appalachian trail experience, I have backpacked the John Muir Trail in California as well as logging countless miles tromping around the trails of the North East, the Shenandoah, and the Great Smokey Mountains of NC. I have always considered the outdoors my “sanctuary”, a place I could find rest for my spirit. My passions are backpacking (obviously), fly fishing and touring our beautiful country on my adventure motorcycle.

Prior to Prosurvivalsupply.com, I started, grew and sold cabinetjoint.com, a well-known supplier of high end, American made ready-to-assemble cabinetry. As the company grew, I began to long for a “small company” experience again, so I sold cabinetjoint.com in January of 2023. I am excited to be doing something that lines up so well with my passions and I look forward to coming alongside you as you gear up for your next outdoor adventure!

A little About McKenzie…

Like my Dad, I live in Gettysburg, PA. From the time he took me on my first backpacking trip in 2011 to Worlds End State Park (PA), I have been hooked on camping, the outdoors in general and backpacking in particular. Hiking (and completing) the Appalachian Trail at only 20 years old was an epic achievement for me, one that I will always be proudest of. In addition to the AT, I have hiked the John Muir Trail (with my mom and dad) and I also completed the 500-mile Colorado Trail in September of 2023. My goal is to knock out a few more of the great “Long Trails” in the US!

My career has been spent mostly in retail, but I also have experience in video editing, social media and other marketing specialties. My main role at Prosurvivalsupply.com will be oversee customer service (orders, fulfillment, returns and customer satisfaction) as well as many of the marketing initiatives. I will also be helping to oversee our initiative to come alongside AT thru hikers (we are located just off the trail AT at its midpoint in PA) with gear, shuttle services, resupply and camping at our location in Gettysburg.

I'd love to connect with you! Feel free to reach out to me at kenzie@prosurvivalsupply.com!
