This is a great knife for slicing. Comes sharp. The fit and finish is actually better than some custom knives I have. Handle fits snugly in hand. I use large gloves. It would almost be too small if hands were bigger. Blade is about the size of a large pocket knife so good size for everyday carrying. The edge is lined up with center of the spine very well. The contouring of the handle is very comfortable. Don't know much about the metal but from what I've read it's a pretty decent metal. Only flaw I would say it may have is it is thin so I'm not sure how well it'd hold up to hard use like prying or using tip as a screwdriver. But for slicing and piercing it looks great
